The Governor's Place
The Governor’s Place is the former home of John S. Fine, Governor of Pennsylvania. The elegant home boasts four suites and a significant amount of shared living space for our quests to enjoy. As you enter the home you will be welcomed by the grandfather clock on your left. To your right is the shared dining room where breakfast is served daily. This is a wonderful dining area with elegant corner cabinets. To your left is the grand living room. The living room has a monstrous picture window looking across a 25 mile view. The room showcases a grand fireplace that you will most definitely find burning any day of the year when the temperature begins to fall. Enjoy a hot cocoa or a drink of your choice with the comfort of the crackling fire. One of the siblings has had a life long love of the aura of a burning fireplace during the chilly fall months or howling winter storms that frequent the home, so you can be certain he will have it burning! Additionally, there is a library that boasts another 25 mile view. This is the perfect place to find a good ol’ fashioned book and head off into the sitting room or by another large picture window and lose yourself in thought. Head downstairs and there is a wonderful large shared living space with another large wood burning fireplace along with a 9 foot pool table – a challenge to the best players out there! All told, there is about 2,500 square feet of shared living space for all of our quests to enjoy.
