The Governor’s Place maintains a system of trails, throughout the property, available to our guests for mountain biking. The Governor’s Place offers four “state of the art” mountain bikes with battery assisted power (the trails are hilly) for our guests to enjoy free of charge. Start high on the hill at the Governor’s Place and explore the nearby valley where you will find 150 year old stone fences erected by the guts and determination of our forefathers driven solely by the need to survive. Continue your ride as it takes you creek side by a peaceful babbling brook. As you gaze upon its reflective surface, sounds of the brook and the wild life is all that can be heard. Find yourself in deep thought as you recollect on the continuous peacefulness that has been provided by this place through the years, regardless of the challenges or worldly happenings.

Moving on, the trail will take you through the wooded sections of the property. You will likely see deer and (gasp!) an occasional bear. But fear not! You’ll be home soon!
