Our Rooms
With four suites and around 2,500 square feet of shared living space, the Governor’s Place is a wonderful home for a couple, a family, or even a lone guest to spend a relaxing weekend or get away for a bit longer. Among the shared spaces are a beautiful dining room, a living room with a grand fireplace, and a library with an amazing view. The home also has private suites with private bathrooms. Ricketts Suite
The first suite is a two bedroom suite with a large living area and a private grand sunroom. This suite can comfortably sleep 6 having two private rooms and two very comfortable full size roll out beds. The Suite also has a private bathroom and has direct access to the outside grounds, so you can come and go as you please with secured entry.
Governor's Suite
Our second suite is appropriately named the Governors suite. This is a lovely two bedroom suite where the Governor and his wife would retire and soak in the beauty of the outdoors that this room captures. It sits on the third floor of the property and has a grand 25 mile view across the distant Wyoming Valley to the radio towers on Penobscot Knob southeast of Wilkes-Barre Pa. This suite has two bedrooms and a private bath. The first bedroom is large and has ample space to move around freely or just enjoy the space and the views. The second room is smaller but very comfortable and roomy. But here is the bonus: the suite also boasts access to an outside balcony. The balcony provides a very relaxing environment to enjoy a morning coffee or the evening with your favorite beverage and incomparable views.
The Boudoir
Adjacent to the Grand View suite on the same floor is the Boudoir. This is a quiet one bedroom one private bath on the Northwest side of the Home. Spacious and quiet this suite comfortably sleeps two. This room is called the Boudoir as it was the formal chamber for Mrs. Governor Fine when they occupied the home.
